Last weekend, my friend Leona and I were looking at outrageously priced property just because we’re dreamers like that. This one is on sale for £39,000,000 by the estate agent Knight Frank and is on Avenue Road, St. Johns Wood. I’ve spent time recently looking through property in different parts of the world on there, everything is so luxurious. I need to be able to travel to a place, fall in love with it and decide I want to buy a beautiful home there and visit all the time. Maybe somewhere in the Algarve, or Singapore, or the Cayman Islands, Or Dubai, or Monaco, or Marbella, or Hong Kong…..dreaming is believing.
Weird name for this post? Well my lovely friends told me I looked like one of the characters from Monsters Inc because of my jacket and I realised it’s actually kinda true. The sun came out to play on Saturday, definitely the warmest day of the year so far so I decided to ditch the tights and throw on a mini! My girls and I hit Brick Lane to have a look around the boutiques and soak up the sun. I wish I had a good camera, I would have taken some Streetsyle photos because boy, do Londoners know how to dress?! Especially around Brick Lane, everyone is so adventurous with their looks and it’s so lovely and colourful to see. We had a lovely time and went to a cute little American diner called ”All Star Lanes”, I would recommend it.

I saw Zainab Balogun on the catwalk at the CLAN fashion show in summer last year and I remember thinking ”wow, what a beautiful woman!” I think hair is an amazing safety net for some of us and can make a person look much prettier. When I see a gorgeous woman with no hair or short hair, it really makes an impression on me, kinda like Amber Rose! It’s like they have nothing to hide behind, their face does all the talking, even just the thought of that kinda scares me, lol! I somehow came across Zainab on twitter and I had to let her know how beautiful she is! I’m the type of person to go out of my way to let someone know that I love something about them- looks, clothing, actions, blog, a speech, whatever it is! I think it’s a great way to make a person’s day and I believe in letting people know when they inspire you. She’s so lovely, which makes her all the more gorgeous. Here are some of her shoots that I love.

I follow a lot of blogs using bloglovin’ (follow me on bloglovin’ here, it’ll make my day :)), it’s a great way to get immediate updates on all your favorite bloggers.
I discovered NiniStyle only last week as a friend told me to check it out and I have been completely blown away ever since. She is now my favorite fashion blogger and I completely love her style- chic and sophisticated but still fun and flirty. She’s so swagged out that I decided I had to dedicate a post to her as I have learnt so much from her blog already.
I have some of the items she’s wearing in the pictures like the yellow blazer and the two midi dresses but I never realised they were such nice pieces till I saw them on her!
Her key teaching is to avoid wasteful spending on clothes you do not need and will only wear a few times and invest in classic timeless pieces you will wear over and over again. I am definitely a victim of thrift spending but no more, I am going to take on her advice. Many times on her blog, even dating from 3 years ago she is wearing the same Chanel skirt, Balenciaga jacket or YSL pumps but she styles it differently each time and I am now convinced that saving up for higher quality items is the way! If you think of how many cheap items you bought in the past two or three years that are now torn or out-of-fashion, and think of two or three classic pieces you could have invested in instead, this is priceless advice. Enjoy some of her beautiful outfits 🙂
Hey my lovelies!
It’s mother’s day today (not in the US, so don’t have a panic attack if you’re an American reader) so I’d like to wish all the mothers out there a very happy mother’s day! Mothers are the strongest, most beautiful people in the world and many of you manage to do the most impossible things efortlessly, you deserve the best.
To all the special women in my life, hope you’re having a great day and to my mummy, my bestfriend, my twin, my sister, my baby lady, my superwoman, the one to whom nothing is impossible, you have never ever let me down, you continue to show me everyday that you are superhuman, always there for us, going over and above your duties as mummy. Abi, there aren’t any words to describe you, your actions or your beauty. I appreciate you everyday, always and forever. My homegirl for life 🙂
Me: American Apparel top and skirt, Topshop shoes, Ralph Lauren bag. Tomi: ASOS jacket, Topshop shorts, Chanel Pumps
Hey guys! On Saturday, I walked around New Bond Street staring at stuff that I couldn’t afford even if I sold all my belongings, lol. I kinda enjoy doing that though, it motivates me to see what I will be able to afford when hard work pays off.
One of my friends, Tomi in the pictures above insisted that we ”drink to my accomplishments”, all drinks on her. We went to Aprés, a cosy bar opposite Selfridges and the cocktails were really nice, I love cocktails that taste like there’s no alcohol in them!

Pictures taken by Tomi’s lovely little sister, Tia, check out her blog here.
I’m a shopaholic, it’s a drug, an addiction, keeps me going, I sound like a maniac, maybe I am? lol. ASOS is probably where I do most of my shopping; I love a lot of the stuff. Isn’t internet shopping is the best ever invention? I can recite my card details in my sleep.
Before ASOS Saved Items, shopping was harder but better financially as I’d just drool over items and then forget about them. Now that all I have to do is ‘Save Item’, I re-visit my saved items several times a day just because staring at them makes me happy.
These are the items I’m drooling over at the moment. I’m really loving below knee-length dresses right now, they are so chic. They look way better on tall girls but hey, I refuse to steer clear just because I’m petite as that would be unfair, no?
ASOS faux fur collar, American Apparel Disco Pants, H&M Jacket, Dune chelsea boots, Celine Mini Luggage Bag
Four months of waiting since I bought this bad boy, thanks to a lovely friend who came to London for Spring Break, my celine which was my 19th birthday present from my beautiful mum is finally in my hands, eeek! Burgundy is my absolute favorite colour, I’m in love with it.
Many rejections and one year later, on friday, I got an unconditional offer from the university I have always wanted to go to all my life to study the course that I have always wanted to study. And to think that all it took was to abandon the life that I had planned and take out a year. How simple was that? It is beyond belief what a little bit of patience, courage and a leap of faith can do.
You know what they say about God giving in three ways? : He says yes and gives you what you want, he says no and gives you something better or he says wait and gives you the best? It is so true!
